In the picturesque town of Hebden Bridge, our humble tea venture started with a shared love for tea and a vision to introduce the world to the wonders of loose leaf tea. Surrounded by the stunning landscapes of West Yorkshire, we felt inspired to create something truly special.

Our journey was marked by discovery and a deep appreciation for the art of tea.

In 2011, we relocated to the historic Shambles in York, a city steeped in tea-drinking tradition and a perfect backdrop for our tea emporium. Here, in the heart of York’s charming streets, we found a new home for Hebden Tea. The Shambles, with its medieval architecture and bustling atmosphere, was the ideal setting to showcase our teas to a wider audience.

Today, we are proud to have not one, but two tea shops and a delightful tearoom in the heart of York. These spaces have become havens for tea enthusiasts, a place where tea lovers can immerse themselves in the world of loose leaf tea. Our tearoom offers a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle and bustle, where you can savor our exquisite teas in a cozy and welcoming environment.
